The Years That Shaped Us
Who We Are & How We Got Here
We both started our careers in digital marketing as account managers and strategists, learning the industry by working directly with clients and the campaigns they trusted us to manage. In those early years, we worked across different industries, business models, and marketing challenges, developing a broad understanding of what goes into building an effective strategy and turning that strategy into results.
It was also where we learned the parts of marketing that don’t show up in a service description: how to listen to a client and understand what they actually need, how to translate a business problem into a marketing strategy, how to adapt when a campaign doesn’t go according to plan, and how all of the individual pieces of digital marketing have to work together. We learned to look beyond individual deliverables and craft a fully comprehensive service where every component contributes to the strategy in meaningful, measurable ways.
Those years gave us a practical foundation in the realities of digital marketing and, just as importantly, an appreciation for the people and businesses on the other side of the work. That foundation would continue to shape our careers as our responsibilities grew and our areas of expertise began to evolve.
From Experience to Expertise
2016 - 2021
As our experience grew, so did the scope of our work. Christine moved into leadership roles focused on client experience, operations, and service development, while Andrew’s career increasingly centered on marketing technology and systems. The work became less about managing individual campaigns and more about understanding everything that had to happen behind the scenes to make an agency successful.
For Christine, that meant becoming increasingly responsible for the people, processes, and client relationships that shaped the experience of working with an agency. She helped develop services, train and support teams, improve internal operations, and solve the problems that inevitably arise when a growing organization tries to deliver consistently excellent work. Andrew’s work brought him deeper into the systems supporting that work, from technology and integrations to automation and workflow design. He developed a talent for finding the connections between seemingly unrelated problems and building systems that made the whole operation work better.
Our careers had naturally begun to take us into different areas of the industry, but both of us were gaining something we couldn’t have gotten from our early years alone: a much broader understanding of what happens behind the marketing itself. We were learning not just how to do the work, but how to build the people, processes, and infrastructure that allow good work to happen consistently.
From Expertise To Authority
2021-2026
As their careers continued to advance, the work became bigger, more complex, and more consequential. Christine moved into executive leadership, overseeing agency operations, service delivery, client experience, team development, and the strategic decisions that shaped how an organization grew. Andrew moved into senior leadership focused on marketing technology, systems, and operations, taking responsibility for the infrastructure, processes, and automation supporting increasingly sophisticated marketing programs.
At this level, the decisions carried different weight. A change to a process could affect an entire team. A service decision could influence an agency’s growth. A technology choice could determine whether a system became an asset or a bottleneck. Years of experience had given them the perspective to understand those connections, anticipate the consequences, and make decisions with the bigger picture in mind.
It was also the point in their careers when they had accumulated enough experience to see digital marketing from virtually every angle: strategy, execution, client relationships, technology, operations, and organizational growth. They had spent years learning the industry, building within it, and eventually helping lead it. There was very little left about the agency side of the business that they hadn’t encountered firsthand…
From Authority To Apex
2026, The Founding of ApexLeadGen
After years of working within digital marketing agencies, Christine and Andrew began to notice a pattern that became increasingly difficult to reconcile. They would see clients with legitimate problems and clear opportunities for improvement, but the solutions were often constrained by the way services were packaged, sold, or divided between teams. A business might need several pieces of its marketing to work together, yet the agency relationship was structured around one service at a time. The right recommendation was not always the one the agency was positioned to provide.
For people who had spent their careers solving those kinds of problems, that was difficult to accept. They knew how much more effective marketing could be when the right pieces were allowed to work together, yet artificial boundaries could prevent them from giving a client the solution they actually needed. Watching businesses spend money on marketing while knowing there was a better way to approach it was frustrating, and over time, increasingly disheartening.
Eventually, they stopped asking how to work within those limitations and started asking what they could build without them. ApexLeadGen grew from that question: an agency designed around what businesses actually need, rather than what happens to fit inside a predetermined service structure. The result is an opportunity to take everything they wished they could have done differently and build a marketing partnership where doing the right thing is part of the model from the beginning.

How Our Experience Impacts Yours
Our years working in digital marketing and legal marketing agencies have given us a firsthand understanding of what makes a marketing partnership work, and what can make it frustrating. We’ve seen how agencies often make clients pay for repetitive activity instead of genuine strategy, and then bury them in jargon and reports that don’t answer the questions they actually have. We know how frustrating it can be to feel like the agency you pay to be the solutions is just reacting to problems instead of anticipating them. Even good agencies can create friction when communication breaks down, recommendations aren’t proactive, or the people managing your campaigns don’t fully understand the nuances of marketing in such a highly specialized field.
We’ve taken the lessons, frustrations, and best practices gathered throughout our careers and used them to rethink the parts of the client experience that should work better. The result is a partnership shaped not only by what we know about marketing, but by what years in the industry have taught us about doing it well.
The Service You Should Expect From A Legal Marketing Agency
-
Straight Talk
No jargon, vague explanations, or hiding behind marketing terminology. Clear answers and honest recommendations, even when that means having a difficult conversation.
-
Proactive, Not Reactive
You shouldn't have to chase answers, flag problems, or constantly ask what happens next. We look ahead for changes, opportunities, and emerging risks so you're not forced to play catch-up.
-
Value, Not Vanity
Traffic, rankings, clicks, and impressions can provide useful insight, but they aren't the ultimate goal. Your marketing should contribute to more calls, more qualified leads, and more clients signed. Period.
-
One Point Of Contact. One Source Of Truth.
You will never hear, “I don't know, that's not my department.” One dedicated point of contact means your questions don't get bounced around and your marketing never gets fragmented across departments.
-
Fast Answers, No Follow-Up Required
When you reach out, we respond. Live chat, direct messages, and email make it easy to ask a question and get a response, often within a matter of minutes.
Our Commitment To You
every professional relationship should be built on mutual respect, honesty, and a genuine desire to do good work together.
We will treat you like a person, not a transaction.
We will do our best to be thoughtful, dependable, and accountable in every interaction. We will communicate openly, listen to understand, and be honest even when that’s a difficult conversation. We will respect your time, your expertise, your perspective, and the trust you place in us.
We won’t always get everything right. No one does. But we will always strive to be people that others can trust to be honest, fair, curious, and committed to doing the right thing.
